The areas that lie within the East Harbour Regional Park refl ect a series of historical narratives that cover a wide range of topics including ongoing Maori use and occupation, local early European settlement, important aspects of Wellington’s maritime history and the use of the eastern harbour as an early and continuing place of recreation for Wellingtonians.
