Online survey excuse to reflect on the long hot days of summer

  • Published Date 16 Apr 2015

People who enjoy the Wellington region's harbours, coasts and rivers are being encouraged to participate in an online survey on recreational water quality.

The short survey runs until 6th of May and aims to get feedback on how, when and where people enjoy the region's rivers and coasts and what they think about the quality of water.

It will also seek comment about the way recreational water quality monitoring is reported and how people like to get information.

"Whether it's swimming at Oriental Bay or surfing at Castlepoint we're keen to hear where and when people are getting in the water. This information will help us improve our recreational water quality monitoring programme and the way we make the results available," says Greater Wellington Regional Council Senior Environmental Scientist, Summer Greenfield.

The Council is keen to hear from people of all ages and there's an opportunity to enter the draw for a 3SIXT HD Sports Action Camera or an iPod Shuffle and Bassburger pocket speakers.
