Public meeting on weed spraying in Queen Elizabeth Park

Members of the Kapiti community are invited to a public meeting about chemical spraying techniques used for weed control in Queen Elizabeth Park.

Greater Wellington Regional Council wants to listen to the community's concerns and will use this open session to record and answer questions from the public. Officials from the regional council will be available to advise and to discuss matters with people both during and at the end of the meeting.

"We acknowledge that some people in the community are concerned about spraying in the park. This meeting will give people the opportunity to have their say and participate in a full and frank exchange of views," says GWRC Manager Parks Amanda Cox.
