The purpose of this study was to monitor atmospheric dust in the Taita
area of the Hutt Valley.
Recent resource consent hearings have highlighted that some residents
in the Taita area are concerned with the levels of dust and the soiling of
surfaces in their neighbourhood.
Atmospheric dustfall was monitored at various locations in the Taita-
Belmont area to establish dust deposition rates and provide an indication
of likely sources.
