Stylised depiction of New Zealand's environment, from the sea to the skyMauri Tūhono ki te Upoko o te Ika a Māui, known as Mauri Tūhono, is an independent working group made up of partners from Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira, Taranaki Whānui, Kahungunu ki Wairarapa, Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai, Department of Conservation and Greater Wellington, as well as community members.

On November 28 2023 we launched our new biodiversity framework - called Kaipupuri taonga ki te ao whānui / The taonga we stand for everywhere with everyone - which helps us all see how we can work together to sustain and restore the mauri of te Taiao.
